Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen is a third-person action shooter video game based on the 2009 action film Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen. The game, like its predecessor Transformers: The Game, features a split campaign format, both an Autobot and Decepticon campaign, one depicting the actions of the Autobots and the other the actions of the Decepticons. The game expands on the film's plot with additional missions and characters. Unlike the previous game, Revenge of the Fallen features non-linear cube-shaped mission progression. This allows the player to choose which missions they would like to complete and where to push the story further. Online multiplayer offers five different modes. one similar to the Star Wars Battlefront series, with teams fighting for control of specific areas to score points. One Will Survive is similar to Team Death, the difference being that the objective is for one player to defeat the enemy leader (Optimus Prime or Megatron) while protecting their own. The final mode, "Battle for the Shards," features Capture the Flag-style gameplay; teams hunt for AllSpark shards and return them to their base to score points.
